Among all the changes in business, one thing remains constant. The success of a business cannot be greater than the talent, fortitude and direction of the company's management. Michael Kane has written this book to help management better operate the day-to-day aspects of a manufacturing company. The concepts presented here are not new or revolutionary, but they are routinely forgotten or ignored by many businesses. The text is written in such a way that individual portions of a business are broken out and dissected, much like the flow of a customer order, so that managers and organizational leaders can focus specifically on their portion of the business, or on the entire business, as they choose. The book also offers real-world examples of businesses that have struggled, and continue to struggle, as well as those that have overcome adversity and achieved success. These successes are the result of active, committed, results-oriented management.
