Data Management Validation and Financial Analysis Manage and validate Strategic Planning and Decision Analysis database containing BMS product information as well as long term company financial projections. Act as primary point of support for regular and adhoc data and reporting requests from within SPDA as well as from other BMS clients across a wide variety of departments and levels of the organization. Leverage existing standard reports where possible or create new reports in Excel, leveraging OLAP tool TM1 as needed to satisfy the requests. Coordinate closely with Research and Development to ensure consistency between datasets that both groups use for reporting and analysis and propose process changes where appropriate to improve data sharing. Develop and maintain financial bridges, including reasons for change, to support Strategic Planning and Portfolio processes. Provide additional analytic support to Strat Plan Portfolio team for the Corporate Strategic Planning Process, Portfolio Review and Research and Development Budget Process and other strategic initiatives as needed, including helping run existing Excel financial models or building new Excel models from scratch as needed. Support Strat Plan Portfolio team and SPDA management in creating PowerPoint presentations for senior management. Tools and Systems Act as primary point person for GSS for SPDA tools and systems. Work with SPDA members togather business requirements for existing tools and systems, as well as desired future capabilities. Coordinate with GSS Client Facing and Development team to ensure appropriate plans are in place and that work is being completed within agreed upon timelines. Work with SPDA management to prioritize improvements and implementations. Coordinate long term SPDA tools and systems assessment with GSS Client Facing and review options with SPDA members. Coordinate implementation with GSS if new toolset is selected.

Excellent Excel skills, including experience using VBA and experience managing databases and large datasets. Experience using TM1 systems highly desirable. Good understanding of Corporate Finance, Financial Accounting and P&Ls as well as a familiarity with financial modeling and analysis capabilities using spreadsheet software desirable. Understanding of clinical development, regulatory issues, and market dynamics in the pharmaceutical industry. Bright, creative, energetic, and self motivated. Should be comfortable working in a high pressure, flexible environment. Strong multi tasking, organization and interpersonal skills. Should be comfortable raising key issues and opportunities to the attention of team and management. Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with internal and cross functional teams. 2-3 years of professional experience in operations research, management science, finance, and or data management, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry. MBA or graduate degree in Operations Research, Management Science, Finance, or related quantitative discipline strongly preferred.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
