Hormel Foods Corporation has an opportunity for a Financial Analyst/Operations Research Analyst in our corporate office in Austin, MN. As a Financial Analyst/Operations Research Analyst, you will analyze problems for and provide decision support to the Company. The areas of application range from procurement, operations, risk management, and sales and marketing.

Responsibilities may include: analyzing business problems and participating in the development of innovative approaches and solutions; solving optimization problems using problem definition, data gathering, modeling, analysis, and communication; researching and recommending operating strategies; analyzing investment decisions for the Company and developing operating standards.

The preferred candidate will possess a Master's degree in Operations Research or Management Science or a Bachelor's degree in Management Science and 3-5 years related work experience as well as knowledge of mathematical modeling, simulation techniques and linear programming, knowledge of accounting principles, economic theory and statistical analysis, knowledge of market history, market factors, statistical forecasting techniques, and knowledge of price relationships, various hedging instruments and the operation of futures and commodity markets.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have a valid work visa.
