Nestlé has an opportunity for a Supply Chain Business Analyst / Operations Research Analyst in our corporate office in Glendale, CA. As a Supply Chain Business Analyst / Operations Research Analyst within the Decisions Support Department you will analyze problems for and provide decision support to the Company. The areas of application range from distribution and logistics operations, strategic planning and network optimization, strategic and operational production scheduling.

Responsibilities may include: analyzing business problems and participating in the development of innovative approaches and solutions; solving optimization problems using problem definition, data gathering, modeling, analysis, and communication; researching and recommending operating strategies; analyzing decisions for the Company and developing operating standards.

The preferred candidate will possess a Master's degree in Operations Research or Management Science or a Bachelor's degree in Management Science and 3-5 years related work experience as well as knowledge of optimization, mathematical modeling (linear programming and mixed-integer programming), heuristics, simulation techniques, knowledge of accounting principles, economic theory, probability and statistical analysis and statistical forecasting techniques.
