The incumbent will lead the algorithmic design work to support the evolution of Predictix's forecasting technology, suited to the needs of various retail decision problems and will ensure that clients using Predictix's forecasting solutions continue to derive value.

Responsibilities Include:

• Conducting research and analysis on various forecasting algorithms and techniques.
• Developing and exercising prototypes of models and algorithms.
• Preparing design documentation of models and algorithms.
• Developing techniques for performing forecast diagnostics and performing diagnostic studies.
• Training and supervising the work of junior scientists and consultants on deployment and configuration of forecasting solutions.
• Develop training materials for end-users and conduct user training.
• Collaborate with Predictix Solution Center and Client IT to support integration, interfacing and conversion.
• Working closely with Predictix Project Team as well as Client Project Team to ensure quality work is delivered and deadlines are met.
• Setting an example with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality that can be followed by fellow team members.

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Operations Research, Statistics, Econometrics or related field.
• At least 3 years of commercial or industrial experience, with significant experience in the development and/or use of large scale, operational forecasting technology.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong proficiency in one or more mathematical or statistical modeling tools: SAS, MATLAB, R or similar.
• Strong proficiency in manipulation and analysis of large datasets.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English across different levels of management.
• Retail business system knowledge a plus.
