Responsibilities and Challenges
The Dean will provide strong leadership to and will work collaboratively with faculty, students, staff, University administration and Pace's other professional schools, to meet the needs of undergraduate and graduate education in the 21st Century.

As the chief academic officer of the school, the dean will be a change agent, able to lead the school's strategy to create a distinctive niche among regional competitors, optimize student enrollment and academic quality, enhance the school's external recognition and support the further integration of the school into the business community. The Dean will provide academic support for the School's faculty, fostering research, teaching, and service, and will articulate the School's vision and goals externally to the private sector and internally to the University community for purposes of collaboration and fundraising.

The University's Strategic Plan calls for the increased development and recognition of the Lubin School in educating "thinking professionals." The Dean will play a key role in leading the implementation of the plan, as well as in enhancing the national ranking of the University.

Qualifications and Application Process
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished and respected academic leader with a PhD, or a successful senior executive/CEO in the corporate sector, with at least an MBA, who understands the critical issues in business education. The candidate should have leadership and management experience and an understanding of the importance of academic and professional research, as well as a demonstrated commitment to diversity and equity in his/her institution or company.
