The Department of Industrial and Management Systems Engineering (IMSE) at West Virginia University invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track faculty position in Operations Research/Production Planning at the level of Assistant Professor for Fall 2010. We seek outstanding candidates who possess an earned Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field with a B.S. or M.S. in Industrial Engineering.
They must be able to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, to develop an externally funded research program, and to perform professional service activities.
West Virginia University is a comprehensive land grant institution with medical, law, and business schools, over 29,000 students, and Carnegie Doctoral Research Extensive standing. The IMSE Department has 14 faculty members, 220 undergraduate, and 110 graduate students. The Department offers degrees at the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. levels. The College has seven departments, over 3,000 students, 119 faculty, and approximately $25 million in research expenditures per annum.
Candidates should submit current curriculum vitae, names and addresses of three references, a one page summary statement describing qualifications for the position, and plans for teaching and research.
