New Features Enhance CACI's
SIMPROCESS Version 4

CACI announced the release of SIMPROCESS Version 4.2 that contains the following new features:

• "View" button appearing on the Documentation tab of Process and Activity properties dialogs will launch an appropriate application to handle any URL or file.

• Text Viewer window now includes an extra panel displaying the URL/File field contents of any selected Activity or Process. This button will activate and operate under conditions similar to those on the Documentation tab of Process and Activity properties dialogs described above.

• Expression language statements dealing with spreadsheet files have been enhanced to support XML spreadsheet files and to allow writing formulas.

• Generate activities can now use a new Spreadsheet schedule, which supports reading information about entity generation from an Excel workbook file or an XML spreadsheet file.

• Simulation Start and End dates can now be specified in model parameters when running without the GUI.

• Dispatcher Service is a new feature to support services-oriented architecture and simulation on demand. Today's model builders may require the ability to call on simulation capabilities and use the results to make automated business decisions. SIMPROCESS provides this capability through the Dispatcher Service.

• BAM & Simulation adds another dimension to the growing BAM concept. Simulation provides management the ability to peek into the future of business performance metrics and gives them valuable lead-time to optimize management decisions before problems in operations arise.
