OptTek Systems announced the release of OptQuestJava, a strategic component of OptTek's family of optimization software products. The major new version, written in Java, will help customers add optimization capabilities to applications based on pure Java technology and readily take advantage of the features and enhancements of the OptQuest optimization engine. "With support from major partners and clients we have accomplished the release of this version in record time and with performance results that exceeded expectations," says Terry Wubbena, OptTek's director of software development.

OptQuestJava incorporates new heuristic and meta-heuristic algorithms that produce better solutions in less time. OptQuestJava also has enhanced features that make it easier to use and provide additional functionality.
