Papers are sought for the INFORMS 1997 Marketing Science Conference, hosted by the University of California at Berkeley. Papers dealing with the marketing models, methods, theory and measurement in relation to marketing science are welcome.
Abstracts must be received by Nov. 18, 1996, by any of the following Conference co-chairs: Tülin Erdem, Miguel Villa-Boas, or Russ Winer at the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley, Berkeley, CA 94720-1900; Fax: (510) 643-1420; e-mail: mktsci@haas.berkeley.edu
Computers & Operations Research will publish a special issue on aggregation/disaggregation in operations research. Methods of aggregation and disaggregation in operations research comprise a wide variety of techniques that have been successfully applied to many areas of research and application. Application areas have been widespread and usually include problems for which an overwhelming amount of data is being processed and/or problems for which the algorithms being employed are cumbersome.
All manuscripts will be refereed. Four copies of the paper, following the standard guidelines for Computers & Operations Research, should be sent by Dec. 31, 1996, to the special issue editor: David F. Rogers, Department of Quantitative Analysis & Operations Management, College of Business Administration, University of Cincinnati, PO Box 210130, Cincinnati, OH 45221-0130.
The Computer Simulation in Business Track at the Annual International Simulators Conference will take place April 6-10, 1997, at the Stouffer Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta.
Several sessions will feature computer simulations in business, including MIS, OR, decision analysis, statistics/resampling, and teaching pedagogy. To be considered, three papers of one-page abstracts are due by Sept. 27, 1996. Full papers must be completed by Jan. 13, 1997. Contact Todd Schultz, Augusta State Univ., tschultz@ac.edu
The Second International Conference and Exhibition on The Practical Application of Intelligent Agents and Multi-Agent Technology, to be held April 21-23, 1997, in London, U.K., will focus on "The Commercial Value of Agents: An Exploration Through Practical Applications."
Papers/industrial reports are sought for the conference describing fielded applications which exploit agent technology. Papers can be of any length, and on virtually any agent-related topic, which might include, but are not limited to the following: Personal agents, Business/service agents, and Tools and Techniques.
Since PAAM '97 focuses on the real-world benefits of agent technology, preference will be given to papers describing fielded applications, especially in the business arena.
Five copies of papers (written in English) should be received by the conference organizer on or before Nov. 8, 1996. Papers should be sent to: PAAM '97, 54 Knowle Avenue, Blackpool, Lancashire, FY2 9UD U.K.
The Fifth International Conference and Exhibition on The Practical Application of PROLOG Week will be held the week of April 21, 1997, in London, U.K. The theme of the conference and exhibition will be "The Commercial Value of Prolog: An Exploration Through Practical Applications."
Papers can be of any length, up to a maximum of 20 pages. Preference will be given to fielded applications or to papers describing techniques which have ready application in producing industrial strength code.
Five copies of the paper (written in English) should be received by the conference organizer on or before Nov. 29, 1996.
Papers should be sent to PAP '97, 54 Knowle Avenue, Blackpool, Lancashire FY2 9UD, U.K. Please also submit an e-mail version of your paper, if possible, to the following address: Robin.Drogemuller@jcu.edu.au
Papers are sought for The Third International Conference on The Practical Application of Constraint Technology, to be held April 23-25, 1997 in London, U.K. PACT '97 will focus on the growing industrial exploitation of constraint programming, and explore the realizable benefits for business, and future trends for this technology.
Submitted papers or industrial reports describing fielded applications which exploit constraint technology can be of any length, up to a maximum of 20 pages, and on virtually any constraint-related topic.
Since PACT '97 focuses on the real-world benefits of constraint technology, preference will be given to papers describing fielded applications, especially in the business arena.
Five copies of papers (written in English) should be received by the conference organizer on or before Nov. 8,1996.

The First International Conference and Exhibition on The Practical Application of Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining will be held April 23-25, 1997, in London, U.K.
This event is being sponsored by the European Union to showcase powerful industrial and commercial applications of KD and DM-based software. The conference will include presentations from leading international companies that are successfully introducing this innovative technology.
Since PADD '97 focuses on the real-world benefits of KD and DM technology, preference will be given to papers describing fielded applications, especially in the business arena. Also of interest are descriptions of advanced prototypes, tools and techniques, and general survey papers which indicate the future direction this technology will take.
