Call for Papers
1996 Association for Consumer Research Conference
The Association for Consumer Research announces a call for papers for its
1996 Annual Conference to be held October 9-13, at the Loewes Ventana Canyon
Resort in Tucson, Arizona. Submissions for the conference must be received
no later than Friday, March 22, 1996. Acceptance decisions will be made
by July 15, 1996. Additional details about the conference and the detailed
version of the call for papers can be obtained through the ACR list server.

Special Volume of Annals of Operations Research
The Annals of Operations Research is planning to publish a special volume
devoted to reliability and maintenance in the context of production control.
Original papers dealing with modeling algorithms or review are sought. The
special volume will include new advances in the subject.
Authors should send four copies of the manuscript to the guest-editor listed

EJOR Special Issue
Papers are now being sought on tabu search for a special issue of the European
Journal of Operations Research. The deadline for submissions to this special
issue is March 31, 1996. Authors are encouraged to submit papers earlier.
There is no restriction on aspects of tabu search that may be covered in
submissions for this special issue.

1996 Winter Simulation Conference
The 1996 Winter Simulation Conference, to be held December 8-11, 1996, at
the Hotel Del Coronado, Coronado, Calif., invites papers for all aspects
of discrete and combined discrete-continuous simulation, including tutorials,
research, applications, exhibits, and a poster session. We encourage submissions
in the following tracks: introductory and advanced tutorials, manufacturing
applications, state-of-the-art reviews, military applications, software
and modelware tutorials, general applications, modeling methodology, poster
session, analysis methodology, and Ph.D. student colloquium.
Deadlines:
By March 1, 1996: a one- to three-page proposal to present tutorials
or state-of-the-art reviews, to organize and chair regular paper sessions,
or to organize and chair panel sessions should be received by the program
chair.
By April 1, 1996: four copies of contributed papers not previously
published or presented should be received by the program chair.

IFORS, EURO Conference
Papers are sought for the Simulation, Gaming, Training and Business Process
Re-engineering in Operations International Conference to be held September
19-21, 1996, in Riga, Latvia.
Abstracts (not more than 200 words) should be sent by E-mail to Rigaconf96@IDA.LiU.SE
before May 15, 1996. You can also send your abstract through the IFORS WWW-pages
at http://www.IFORS.org/. In order to
have the abstract considered for publication, a prepayment must be made
of $50 to IMIT at the bank account SE-banken 5026-1198270 in Sweden. Please
state your name and Rigaconf96. If the abstract is not accepted, the amount
will be repaid. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent by
June 15, 1996.
There will be a special issue dedicated to this conference in "International
Transactions in Operational Research." The guest editor will be professor
Birger Rapp of Linkoping University. Please send three copies of the full
paper as soon as possible to M.B.A. Mikael Ankelius, Economic Information

1997 ABSEL Conference
Authors are invited to submit papers for the 1997 Association for Business
Simulation and Experiential Learning (ABSEL) to be held March 19-21, 1997,
at the Doubletree Hotel in New Orleans.
The conference will include traditional academic papers and demonstrations
dealing with design, evaluation and application of simulations, games and
experiential exercises in teaching, research and assessment; and panel discussions,
workshops, and symposia on meeting the needs of students, colleagues and
industry. Submissions that include interactive participation of attendees
are highly encouraged.
Papers and proposals no more than 15 double-spaced pages should be received
by October 1, 1996.
