Special Issue of IIE Transactions on Operations Engineering

Game Theory has been well established in the last 50 years as a cornerstone discipline for economic inquiry.

More recently, there has been a noteworthy increase in the interest in industrial applications of Game Theory concepts, particularly in areas such as inventory management, machine scheduling, logistics pricing, supply chain management, cost allocation and engineering economics, not to mention "older" applications in network design, water resources, setting landing fees, and many others.

Papers which examine, from a game theoretical perspective, engineering operational problems in industry, logistics, and service are sought.

Special review procedures will be instituted to meet the target publication date of the March 1999 issue. Papers should conform to the Instructions for Authors on the inside back of IIE Transactions on Operations Engineering or check the following web site address for instructions: http://www.thomson.com:8866/ii/default.html

Submit five copies of the paper no later than Nov. 15, to the Guest Editors: Moshe Dror and Bruce C. Hartman, MIS Department, College of Business and Public Administration, The University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ 85721; E-mail: mdror@bpa.arizona.edu and bhartman@bpa.arizona.edu
