Ramco to Integrate Numerous ERP Solutions

Ramco Systems (Lawrenceville, N.J.; www.ramco.com) announced a partnership with Softshare (Santa Barbara, Calif.; www.softshare.com) to provide electronic data interchange (EDI) functionality as part of Ramco's enterprise resources planning (ERP) applications. Ramco will integrate the Softshare Delta mapping & translation application and the Softshare ECS document routing & logging application into its ERP suite.
Delta converts EDI and XML-based (eXtensible markup language) e-commerce data formats into more traditional data formats such as flat file and database for complete EDI capability. Softshare ECS is based on Internet communication protocols and routes EDI documents like ANSI X12 and UN/EDIFACT transactions, XML documents and flat files as well.
Ramco also recently signed and announced ERP contracts with four process manufacturers - Silver Springs Garden, an Eau Claire, Wis.-based food sauces processor; Minnesota Brewing, Minneapolis; MOC Products, a Los Angeles-based manufacturer of cleaning agents; and APL Engineered Materials, a manufacturer of ultra-pure materials for discharge lamps based in Urbana, Ill.
