Dranetz-BMI Completes Y2K Certification

Dranetz-BMI (Edison, N.J.; www.dranetz-bmi.com) has completed testing and certification on 44 power quality analyzers and 21 software packages, some of them dating back to the 1970s. Many of the instruments were certified as Y2K compliant without changes; the company developed upgrades for others.
Y2K Certificates of Compliance, individualized for each compliant product, can be downloaded from the Dranetz-BMI Web site. The company offers free Y2K upgrades, if needed, for all instruments that are under warranty. The upgrades are also free with non-warranty calibration and service.
Dranetz-BMI instruments are used by electricians, maintenance technicians and electrical engineers to detect and correct electric power problems that can damage or disrupt NC machinery, automatic inventory control systems, robots and other sensitive loads.
