Week of April 5, 1999 Manufacturing News Productivity Inc. and Quality Resources Merge Portland-based Productivity Inc. http://www.productivity.com/, a consulting, training and publishing company for the manufacturing industry, and Quality Resources http://www.qualityresources.com/, a publisher of quality and performance improvement books, have merged. The new company, a subsidiary of KOL, will continue to be known as Productivity Inc. and will be headed by Robert Shoemaker, chief executive officer and Steven Ott, president. Productivity's headquarters will remain in Portland, and the Quality Resources offices in New York will become Productivity's East Coast editorial office.
