Week of May 24, 1999 Manufacturing News Teklogix Implementing Solution at 27 Delphi Automotive Sites With an order covering locations in France, Germany, United Kingdom, Portugal, Austria and Poland, Teklogix (Mississauga, Ont., Canada; www.teklogix.com) has announced the signing of a $4.3 million contract with Delphi Automotive Systems (Troy, Mich.; www.delphiauto.com) in Paris, France. With the Teklogix solution, Delphi Automotive can now use barcode labels to report both production and warehouse activities to its SAP R/3 enterprise resource planning system. Using real-time data collected at the source, this system can control the assemblies on the shop floor, create assembly packaging structures and track all racks and pallets within Delphi Automotive. In addition to the software and integration services, the Delphi contract covers hundreds of Teklogix wireless terminals, base stations, gateways and controllers.
