eQuorum's announces new ImageSite Online

ImageSite Online (online.equorum.com), the Web service for publishing, reviewing and distributing large format engineering documents, could just be the new hot topic of conversation among engineers, project managers and others who work regularly with technical drawings. EQuorum (www.EQuorum.com), a global provider of Internet-based business solutions, has recently announced the availability of its solutions service, designed for use in industries including manufacturing, utilities, architecture, engineering, construction, and government agencies Using advanced Internet technology, eQuorum's ImageSite Online provides a convenient and secure environment for the sharing of project information. It enables businesses to publish, store, view, print, comment on and approve engineering drawings and related documents.
Here's how it works. Technical users create project deliverables in digital plot format and then post and store them at ImageSite Online. These plots can then be used to conduct reviews and approvals online, speeding up the process and eliminating delays. Project managers are able to control access to the project information at a site that is secure, reliable and globally accessible via the Web.
Immediate access to project information enables users to review, print and markup documents online, or conduct live teleconferences with simultaneous document viewing. Documents can be delivered over the Web and printed wherever they are needed. Collaboration via the Web eliminates the need for mailing drawings back and forth, catches errors and omissions early in the cycle and improves the likelihood that projects will be completed ahead of schedule.
ImageSite Online can be manipulated in various ways. Project teams can redline online, giving project members instant access to the most current reviewers' comments and as-built changes. They can use ImageSite markup tools to attach comments that are seen by subsequent users. Teams can hold live Web and phone conferences to view and mark up project drawings. ImageSite also allows field members to create encapsulated document sets to take offline. Each encapsulation includes embedded software to view, markup and print project documents-no network connection or CAD application is needed.
ImageSite Online can archive drawings for instant access, eliminating wait times from copy rooms and saving the time and expense of delivering physical documents over long distances.
"ImageSite Online concentrates on the easy and reliable distribution of information between a design team and the people who will actually build a project, be it a building, a roadway, or a machine part. At this phase, project information needs to be clear, not subject to inadvertent changes, and easily accessible," said Agnes Lewis, eQuorum president and CEO. "ImageSite Online is now available on a subscription basis online. As new features or enhancements are added to ImageSite Online, users will have immediate online access to those improvements since there is no software to install or update."
Two subscription plans are offered to businesses - by project team or by individual named user.
- A project team subscription allows an unlimited number of named users from multiple companies to participate on a single project. There is a flat monthly fee for the overall project.
- Individual user subscriptions are available for small project teams. Under this plan, the organization pays a low monthly fee for each named user on the project.
Either plan gives users access to ImageSite Online for the lifespan of the project.
Say good-bye to spilled coffee stains all over large, paper blueprints. Say hello to the next-generation technical drawing solution.
