IBS ranks second in new AMR market analysis for supply chain management

In a June analysis of the world market for supply chain management, market analysts AMR Research (www.amrresearch.com) ranked IBS (www.ibs.se) as second only to i2 Technologies (www.i2.com). SAP (www.sap.com) is ranked in third place.
The five largest suppliers are i2 Technologies, IBS, SAP, Manugistics (www.manugistics.com) and EXE (www.exe.com). AMR Research forecasts that the world market for supply chain management systems will climb from USD 3.8bn in 1999 to USD 20.3bn in 2004. This represents an average annual growth of 40%, compared to the equivalent AMR forecast for traditional ERP systems, a growth of only 5%.
Rankings were based on 1999 revenue for software and professional services within supply chain management. IBS is ranked world no. 1 in the sub-section supply chain execution, while i2 Technologies and SAP target supply chain planning.
