Week of November 16, 1998 Manufacturing News DataWorks Delivers MRO Product to AAR DataWorks (San Diego, Calif.; www.dataworks.com), a supplier of software solutions for manufacturing organizations, has delivered its first commitment in a joint venture with AAR (Wood Dale, Ill; www.aarcorp.com) by delivering Impresa for MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) code to the AAR Airframe and Accessories Group. Last year, DataWorks signed a multi-million dollar contract with AAR for the Impresa for MRO ERP software that includes a co-development agreement allowing both companies to add new features specially required by AAR, an after-market supplier to the aviation/aerospace industry. DataWorks recruited MRO experts from industry and teamed with strategic industry partners to develop MRO tools for complex assemblies, components and structures.
