ILOG Provides Decision Support to Tilion's Supply Chain Performance Management Service

ILOG (Mountain View, Calif.; www.ilog.com), provider of software components, announced that Tilion, Inc. (Maynard, Mass.; www.tilion.com), will utilize ILOG JRules for exception identification as part of its subscription-based Supply Chain Performance Management Service.
ILOG JRules will be used to monitor status across the extended supply chain and provide customers with exception-based information in real time. This enables Tilion customers to proactively respond to supply chain events before the issues become problems.
Supply Chain Event Management (SCEM), a supply chain capability that monitors exceptions, events, and status across the extended supply chain, is the fastest-growing segment of the supply chain management market. Tilion provides the first Internet-based SCEM service that gives companies on-demand visibility into the supply chain and its relationships.
The Tilion Supply Chain Performance Management Service gives companies the information they need to identify and eliminate problems before they have a detrimental effect on overall supply chain efficiency and, ultimately, bottom-line profitability. By embedding ILOG's business rule management software, Tilion customers can set their own thresholds for event identification, such as supplier inventory levels, so that they are informed when the threshold level is reached. This will allow them to make decisions that maximize supply chain performance and efficiency.
