Posted December 19, 2001 Manufacturing News Swiss Manufacturer Teams With IFS Applications IFS (Linkoping, Sweden; www.ifsworld.com) has signed an agreement with the ink and security solutions producer SICPA (Prilly, Switzerland; www.sicpa.com), for the delivery of business applications and related services. SICPA will implement IFS Applications at a dozen sites worldwide. A pilot project is being implemented in Finland, with standards and methods from the pilot project being applied at the other sites worldwide. SICPA will use IFS' web-based business applications for manufacturing, financials and supply chain management. The agreement covers 800 users. SICPAs IT manager said, "The fact that [IFS] can support our fast production process and very short demand cycle was an important criteria.
