Second Enterprise Commerce Management Advisory Council ratifies Vendor Bill of Rights

AMR Research (Boston; www.amrresearch.com) hosted the second assembly of the Enterprise Commerce Management (ECM) Advisory Council, a corporate user council organized to provide guidance in the development of standards for AMR Research's ECM blueprint, on Nov. 13-14, 2001 in Boston. The goal of the Advisory Council is to establish best practices for the deployment and governance of Information Technology resources, set expectations for software vendor behavior and promote these practices to the full population of business application users.
The Advisory Council developed a Vendor Expectations document which includes a software buyer's Bill of Rights, detailing specific standards that software purchasers are appealing to software vendors to employ. AMR Research will present this document to members of the AMR Research Vendor ECM Council at its inaugural meeting on Nov. 27-28 in San Jose, Calif. Following this meeting, AMR Research will publicly publish the Vendor Expectations and Bill of Rights documents.
