(Indianapolis; www.made2manage.com) is honoring three manufacturers with the company's highest honor, the Award of Excellence. The award recognizes manufacturers who demonstrate strong implementations of the software and innovative use of the product. The three winners were Eric Scott Limited (Ste. Genevieve, Miss.; www.ericscott.com), Tour Edge Golf Manufacturing (St. Charles, Ill.; www.touredge.com), and Control Design, Inc. (Pittsburgh; www.controldesigninc.com). Founded in 1985, Eric Scott Ltd. (ESL) produces leather goods, embroidered products and molded business accessories. Following the four-month implementation of the Made2Manage business solution, ESL reported a 15 percent increase in on-time deliveries, reduced inventories by as much as 10 percent and captured 100 percent in job costing information. This was ESL's second time receiving this award. Tour Edge's sales have doubled every year since its start in 1985, and its products are distributed in more than 25 countries. Tour Edge cites the software's back-office integration, bar-coding functionality, and overall vision of operations as key elements in helping the company achieve its goals. Founded in 1980, Control Design builds control panels for engineering companies. It's recorded a 20 percent increase in sales at the end of its most recent fiscal year. Each of the three companies will receive an etched glass plaque from David B. Wortman, Made2Manage chairman and CEO commemorating their achievement.
