Week of December 21, 1998 Manufacturing News Spatial Technology Acquires InterData Access Spatial Technology (Boulder, Colo.; www.spatial.com), a developer of open, component 3D modeling technology, has acquired InterData Access (IDA) (Westchester, Ill.; www.idacorp.com), a provider of product data viewing, data translation and digital prototyping software. IDA's products and services enable users to optimize engineering processes by providing methods of sharing and accessing product data throughout the design and manufacturing process. The acquisition will provide Spatial Technology with technologies, products, personnel and expertise to expedite its development and deployment of CAD model interoperability solutions for its OEM and industrial customers.
