Inbound Logistics Management (ILM)

Inbound Logistics Management (ILM), an addition to SSA's BPCS Client/Server enterprise management system, manages suppliers from time of purchase through putaway of inventory, helping to improve the cash-to-cash business cycle and reducing inventories. ILM allows for management of the entire inbound logistics process, including inventory tracking, detail cost accounting, landed costs, and putaway functions.
ILM was designed to support any size or configuration of client, from centralized inventories and deliveries through world-wide sourcing of raw materials and component parts. Through its integration with SSA's electronic commerce manager product, the management of transactions and relationships with vendors can be automated and simplified, leading to just-in-time materials replenishment and increased customer service levels. ILM is based upon SSA's distributed object computing architecture (DOCA).
