IQS Announces Supplier Portal Strategy for Supply Chain Visibility

IQS, Inc. (Cleveland; www.iqs.com), provider of ISO 9000 and QS-9000 collaborative e-business software solutions, announced it has created a Supplier Portal Strategy to support the collaboration of supplier quality related information.
The offering is a pre-configured Supplier Portal with a backend data collection system. It assures accurate data input that is not possible from nonintegrated spreadsheets and databases. These Supplier Portals, powered by the IQS Business System, provide global supplier information through the Internet.
The IQS Supplier Portal displays ongoing, automatic Supplier Report Cards. Delivery performance, Parts Per Million, Problem Resolution Reporting and Corrective Action templates are customizable. For the Automotive Industry, APQP and PPAP action items are available. The snapshot in time provides detailed information on Management, Quality, Price, Technology, Delivery and Cost. Detailed comments and action plans are noted for all to review.
"The demands on the automotive supply chain to cut costs can be addressed with an offering of this nature," indicated Dennis Virag, President of the Automotive Consulting Group in Ann Arbor, MI. "All the efforts currently directed at mandating cost reductions and pricing alternatives, if directed at a global web-based Supply Chain Visibility service, will help bring true cost reductions to the OEMs."
