Posted February 22, 2002 New Products MTI Systems Introduces New Software Consulting Service MTI Systems (West Springfield, Mass.; www.mtisystems.com) introduced Quick Start, a new product service and consulting option that helps customers implement their cost management/estimating systems and maximize efficiency and profitability. Quick Start teaches company personnel to use Costimator and FabriCost and helps companies tailor these databases to their specific needs and capabilities. Working through Quick Start, MTI Systems consultants visit the customer's facilities and aid them in the designing of feature-based estimating configurators for the Costimator or FabriCost software. Configurators are programs that use pre-calculated costs of manufacturing and installing various features, parts and parametric estimating methods, such as regression analysis and linear analysis. Through Quick Start customers use Costimator or FabriCost software along with their tailored databases to perform daily cost estimating, target costing, make-or-buy analysis and should-cost modeling duties.
