March 23, 1998 New Products Ezitrade Ezitrade from Prospera (Malvern, Pa.; www.prosperagroup.com) is a Web-based electronic commerce solution that offers users the benefits of traditional EDI (electronic data interchange) software. EDI is a standardized way to send business information -- such as purchase orders, invoices, and other transactions -- to trading partners. Ezitrade resides on Prospera's servers and is accessed over the Internet. When a business signs up for Ezitrade, Prospera provides electronic forms according to the specific EDI standards required by the user's trading partner(s). After that, users simply connect to Ezitrade, on an as-needed basis, to send and receive purchase orders, invoices, or other standard EDI transactions. Ezitrade translates each document into the correct EDI format for that trading partner, delivers it and returns a confirmation notice to the user. The entire transaction takes place in a secure environment, with detailed message-status reporting. To begin using Ezitrade, a user needs only a PC with a Web browser, a modem and Internet access. Ezitrade utilizes Microsoft Back Office Server Technologies in conjunction with Prospera's Visual EDI software. The user interface has point-and-click simplicity and easy to navigate menus which are compatible with all current Web browser software packages. Ezitrade is also designed to provide the user with flexible networking options.
