April 20, 1998 New Products IMPACT Encore IMPACT Encore 3.2/2000, a new release from The Syspro Group (Costa Mesa, Calif.; www.sysprousa.com ), is a Year 2000-compliant ERP software tool for Windows-based platforms. IMPACT Encore is a client/server management solution for manufacturing and distribution environments, including job shop, repetitive, quick turn and mixed-mode environments. Its manufacturing capabilities include extensive inventory tracking, scheduling, shop floor control, labor analysis, lot/serial traceability, finite and infinite capacity planning, estimating, bar code data collection, and EDI. ODBC drivers have been developed for IMPACT Encore, allowing an SQL interface with products such as Microsoft Excel, Access, Lotus, Word, IQ and Crystal Reports. Users can operate on a mixture of Windows and non-Windows (character) interfaces in a client/server environment, on either the same network or a UNIX platform.
