CAD/IQ

CAD/IQ from International TechneGroup Inc. (Milford, Ohio; www.cadiq.com) is a CAD model quality and interoperability testing tool. The software analyzes 3D models generated with CAD systems, detecting and clearly identifying hidden geometric errors and anomalies such as cracks, fins, gaps, pinched faces, and other microscopic, unmanufacturable features. CAD/IQ allows the user to detect and view problem areas within the model and to determine the impact that these problems will have on future users of the model. Once identified, corrections can be made to eliminate rework of the model by those receiving it.
CAD/IQ enables users to predict model interoperability with downstream applications and software systems. In this way, CAD/IQ ensures both model and interoperability integrity. This allows CAD models to be processed by downstream product development applications such as finite element modeling, numerical control, rapid prototyping and data exchange without extensively reworking the model.
CAD/IQ supports the I-DEAS Master Series, CATIA, Pro/ENGINEER, Unigraphics, SolidWorks, and other Parasolid-based systems. Support for IGES and STEP will be available in the future.
