Week of August 10, 1998 New Products TopSolid CAD/CAM TopSolid CAD/CAM 6.1 from Missler (Montreal, Quebec, Canada; www.missler.com) is a mechanical integrated CAD/CAM system designed to run on PCs. It is a suite of fully integrated products, including: TopSolid for engineering design and drafting; TopCam for milling and lathe machining; TopDraft for pure drafting; TopFold for sheet metal part and assembly design; TopPunch for fabricating; TopMold for injection molding; and TopControl for inspection. TopSolid CAD/CAM includes such features as: full associativity between design, drafting, tooling and machining; an intuitive mechanical sketcher; a library of mechanical components with attached processes; multi-axis solid machining; and user-definable machining features.
