Week of March 1, 1999 New Products Performance Now Internet Edition KnowledgePoint (Petaluma, Calif.; www.knowledgepoint.com) has released the first major upgrade to its online enterprise application, Performance Now Internet Edition. Performance Now Internet Edition is a corporate tool for managing employee performance evaluations, and it now includes many of the features requested by business managers and human resource professionals. The new version can be customized for each subscribing organization. In addition to the content and competencies resident within the application, customers can now provide their own content — performance competencies, Intelligent Text language (for automatic text generation), and coaching ideas — and KnowledgePoint will load that content into the application so it is available to all users within that organization. With the new version, corporate subscribers can set up and maintain an employee database that stores employee information, including past reviews. It also provides even more flexibility for form, design and process administration. The application resides on KnowledgePoint's secure server. Corporate subscribers are given their own unique URL, and users can access the software with only their browser and an Internet connection.
