Week of May 24, 1999 New Products FactoryWare Introduces Productivity Monitoring System FactoryWare Inc. (Evanston, Ill.; www.factoryware.com) has announced its newest line of productivity monitoring technology, the Factory Pulse Focus Series Data Collector and its accompanying Data Cradle. The Data Collector is a portable data collection unit that can store up to three weeks of machine cycle time and downtime information. The Data Cradle provides a stable and accessible machine interface for the Data Collector. Information from the Data Collector is downloaded to the Factory Pulse software for an analysis of machine cycle town and downtime information. this information can then be used for: capacity planning, new equipment optimization, cycle time reduction, productivity improvement, capital equipment justification and improving maintenance scheduling.
